Why is my candle releasing soot?
Soot is a natural occurrence with any type of candle. Soot can also be a result of over burning your candle. We recommend burning for no more than 4 hours at time.
Why isn't my candle releasing a strong scent?
Fragrance and scent are very subjective. What you may think is strong may be overpowering for another. Some fragrances are also naturally stronger and more potent than others. Also take into consider the room size of where you are burning your candle. Our 5 oz. tins are more suitable for small sized spaces like a bathroom or small bedroom. Our 12 oz. candles are suitable for medium sized rooms.
Why is my candle tunneling? (Wax build up on sides of vessel)
Tunneling is primarily caused by extinguishing the candle before a full melt pool has been reached. Tip: If your candle begins to tunnel, burn the candle for at least 3-4 hours to allow it to self-correct itself
Why isn't my candle as smooth as it was before it was burned?
This is one of the minor visual imperfections of 100% soy wax. It is a perfectly normal occurrence with all natural wax and DOES NOT affect the quality or performance of the candle. This is actually one way of knowing you are getting an all natural soy candle without any additives or paraffin!
Can I repurpose my candle jar?
Yes! and we actually encourage you to do so. Our vessels can be used for décor, mall planters, or make-up brush holders. Simply remove the excess wax by pouring hot water and a small amount of dish soap into the vessel. Leave to soak overnight and dispose of the wax. Remove the wick tabs with a plastic fork or plastic knife (metal may scratch paint of the vessel.) Wash vessel with warm soapy water, leave to dry and your vessel is ready to be repurposed!
